Concierge (Singapore)

Responsibilities: Closing Date: 21-10-09
* To be familiar with the concierge Sections of the Rooms Operations Management system.
* Maintain the highest level of guest service and guest satisfaction possible and in accordance with the minimum standards of the Rooms Operations Management system.
* Ensures a creative and innovative approach to guest service and constantly seek new and additional services for our guests.
* Be ready and willing to attend the necessary educational and developmental programs for to improve the operations of the hotel.
* Create and maintain a friendly, happy and cohesive work environment for all Concierge Associates.
* Ensure staffing levels and associate competencies are rostered according to guest demand expected.
* To be familiar with the usage of an information system to assist all concierge Associates in responding to guest requests.
* Ensure that all guests receive the highest level of professional welcome and farewell from our hotels / resorts. This should include escorting a guest to a room and showing them the features, facilities and services of the hotels / resorts.
* All Associates in the department assists with opening door, luggage transportation and offer any other assistance to the guest, as may be required.
* To be able to operate effectively and Professionally as a Post Office; a Travel Agent; A tour operator; and provide any other services as may be required by our guests.
* To be familiar with the procedures for handling and storing guest luggage.
* To be familiar with the usage of a message delivery system that ensures all messages are delivered according to the hotel standards and procedures.
* To be familiar with the need to protect and maintain the assets of the hotel and take due care in the transportation of luggage and packages around the hotel / resort.
* Help to maintain the Wellbeing, safety and security of both Associates and guests.
* Maintain and continually nurture relationships with all external providers of tours, attractions and entertainment centers, in the local area and surrounds.
* Ensure that all information provided to guests is up-to-date and accurate.
* To be able to deal with any and all guest requirements in a speedy and professional manner.
Requirements:
* 1-2 years experience as a concierge with good knowledge.
* Must possess a strong knowledge of the local area and region and bring significant relationships with local providers of attractions & entertainment facilities.
* To demonstrate a natural vitality, with a desire and ambition to Satisfy guest requirements and possess a strong guest service mentality.
* Possess a working knowledge of concierge or guest information software systems and Ensure a base knowledge of MSWord and MSExcel.
* Preferably a member of the "Society of the Golden Keys" or "Les clef d'Or".
